KC Concepcion says there’s no reason for Piolo Pascual to be jealous of Sam Milby

Now that she’s almost finished work on her fourth movie, Forever and a Day under Star Cinema, KC Concepcion shared how thankful she is to have worked with director Cathy Garcia-Molina for the first time. KC revealed that Direk Cathy wanted to see how raw she could act. “Yan naman ang na-a-appreciate ko kay Direk talaga. Siyempre yun din yung parang gusto ko, kahit sa kaibigan, gusto mo ma-accept ka dahil sa ikaw ka at hindi dahil sa mga magulang. So what more sa mga katrabaho mo lalo sa mga naging director mo pa. Yun lang naman parang pangarap ko, na makilala ako ng mga tao bilang ako. Para rin hindi rin sobrang taas yung expectations and at the same time kung ano man yung kaya kong ibigay sa kanila, ma-a-appreciate din nila as it is,” she shared with Push.com.ph during the promo pictorial for Forever and a Day held last May 3 inside the ABS-CBN studios in Quezon City.

The 26-year-old actress surprised everyone when she arrived at the pictorial with Piolo Pascual in tow. Piolo stayed for a bit to chat with Direk Cathy then quietly slipped away as the pictorial started. This scene immediately caused the media present to ask KC if her boyfriend was there to keep an eye on her because of Sam Milby. KC brushed off any hint of intrigue, saying that it’s highly unlikely that PJ’s presence was caused by jealousy. “Haha meron ba? Hindi, feeling ko supportive lang yan si P,” she said with a smile. Any likelihood of animosity between the two actors was also squashed by the fact that they already had a strong friendship that weathered malicious intrigues even before KC came into the picture.

KC counts Sam as one of her closest guy friends, but she says this fact has made acting together in a movie an even bigger challenge for her. “Nag-start kami kasi as friends talaga outside of showbiz.Pareho nga kaming nandito sa showbiz pero wala kaming project together talaga, ni commercial at that time. So parang it was different for us na parang paano ba natin gagawin ito na magkakatrabaho tayo and then siyempre parang madami ng taong involved. Yung pinaka-understanding namin is yung maging professional kami with each other kahit magkaibigan kami. Siguro yun yung pinaka-challenge sa amin nung pumasok kami na ako si Raffy at siya siEugene sa movie,” she shared with Push.com.ph.

The actress and TV host says Forever and a Day’s story is something that everyone will be able to relate to and enjoy watching. “Puwede kasi siya mangyari sa kahit na sino. Lagi nga namin sinasabi, kahit na anong background mo, ke mahirap ka or mayaman ka or kung saang lugar ka man galing, puwede ito mangyari sa kahit sino yung kuwento ng mga tao dito. Kaya maganda talaga yung story niya,” she added.
